NBA

The NBA, or National Basketball Association, is a professional basketball league in North America, comprising 30 teams, primarily located in the United States and one in Canada. It is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is widely regarded as the premier men’s professional basketball league in the world. Founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA), it later merged with the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1949 to become the NBA. The league is known for its high level of competition, star players, and significant cultural impact, and it hosts an annual championship series called the NBA Finals, where the Eastern and Western Conference champions compete for the league title.
